This Week’s Theme: “Following God’s Leaders”

Memory Verse: Hebrews 13:7 “Remember those who rule over you, who have spoken the word of God to you, whose faith follow, considering the outcome of their conduct.”

Word of the Week: Shepherd - A man employed in tending, feeding, and guarding sheep in a pasture. The pastor of a church or congregation who superintends and gives instruction in spiritual things. He leads, provides, and governs God’s people.

Essence of the Text in a Sentence: As a fellow pastor himself, Peter charged the pastors to fulfill the requirements of leadership in the church.
Sermon Proposition: As members of the congregation, we should follow the instructions given by God and demonstrated by the pastor.
Sermon Objective: I want those in attendance to think about ways that they can honor God by complying to leadership and develop a plan to change.

He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.
